The entire philosophy of family is grounded in hypocrisy and this is one of my strongest reasons for rejecting a family oriented society.
How do we expect to ever evolve if we continue down this hopeless path of inconsistency and dissonance?
Families are like little governments, little hierarchies wherein the parents are above the law that they create for the children.
The parents deify themselves as soon as the children are born. Also, if parents were really honest with themselves, they would realize that the only reason why most of them are parents in the first place is because they lacked validation in their lives. This especially applies to mothers.
In an overpopulated world where simply bearing children or being the social glue of their community is no longer considered a respectable feminine goal, where women are now forced to think about careers instead of child-rearing, today’s female feels quite lost.
